Whatcom Falls is an iconic Pacific Northwest location and I love going there to enjoy the park and to create fine art Whatcom Falls photography prints. On this glorious October morning, I caught the sun at just the right angle as it was backlighting the colorful fall trees and sending sunbeams through the forest and into the mist of the falls.
 
Whatcom is a native Lummi Nation word that mean “Noisy waters”, and this is the very waterfall that Whatcom County, WA is named for. It’s located just downstream from the outlet of Lake Whatcom in Bellingham, WA in the beautiful 241-acre Whatcom Falls park.
