Arriving with less than 5 minutes of light hitting the flowers, Peter quickly captured this magnificent combination of golden arnica and purple lupine in front of Old Snowy Mtn.

The Goat Rocks Wilderness encompasses one of the oldest mountain ranges in Washington State. It’s located between Mt Rainier and Mount Adams in the South Cascade Mountains, and I captured this mountain photography art print on my first visit to the area. In fact, this was my very first minute at this spot!  
 
After hiking over 5 miles, I reached this wildflower covered ridge just as the last rays of sun were hitting it. I threw my pack down, grabbed my tripod, and set up my camera just in time to take this one, single mountain photograph before the light left the ridge and the wildflowers went into darkness. With Mount Baldly aglow in the background and this stunning floral show in the mid and foreground, this was certainly one of my favorite wildflower mountain photography wall art prints of the trip, and of the year.
