Olympic Luminous Lupine Lookout
A beautifully backlit bunch of lupine wildflowers sits high atop Blue Mountain, looking back at Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic Mountains. This print is nearly sold out and therefor 32x48 is the smallest size available.
Fine Art Mountain Photography that Inspires the Soul
I simply love taking mountain sunset photographs in the Olympic Mountains and was delighted on this trip to discover a new place to do it. Unlike many other Olympic Mountain vistas, this one was not hard to get to. After a steep drive on a dirt road to Deer Park campground, I kept driving 1 mile up to the overlook. From there is was less than ¼ mile hike to this stunning Lookout along the Rainshadow Trail. I discovered this location on our first night there, but it wasn’t until the second night that the conditions were right to create this rich purple Olympic Mountain photography print.
I was especially grateful to have the opportunity to capture this mountain photography art at all, as it was only by chance that we ended up here to begin with. You see, we planned the week to be a backpacking trip on the Olympic Coast, and the forecast looked perfect for it. But after just a few hours on the beach, the clouds rolled in and parked themselves overhead. Not wanting to miss the chance to create any fine art photography all week, we hiked out and after doing some quick research decided to head to Deer Park to try our luck at Washington State mountain photography instead. This rustic mountain wall art is the result. In the upper left you can see the cloud bank holding firm to the coastline along the Strait of San Juan de Fuca.
Enchanting Mountain Wall Art for Home
The vibrant jewel tones of this luminous mountain art print stirs up a strong sense of wonder and joy that mountain photography black and white prints just don’t evoke. And large mountain photography prints of this image in sizes up to 8 feet wide are both breathtaking and transformational for any living space.
