Mount Rainier Sunset In Paradise
This wildflower sunset at Mount Rainier photo was taken in Paradise at the moment of sunset.
Fine Art Mount Rainier Photography Inspires the Soul
It’s not hard to guess why they chose the name Paradise for this area on the southeastern flanks of Mount Rainier, also known as Mount Tahoma or Tacoma. It’s one of the most spectacular and most visited spots in all of Washington State, and a hotspot for Pacific Northwest mountain photography. Like most subalpine regions, it’s covered in snow about 8 months of the year, but even then, visitors travel from all around the world to snowshoe, to do Mount Rainier photography art, or just to gaze in wonder at the majesty of this mighty volcano.
But of all the seasons, the wildflower season is my favorite. From the time when the snow melts in mid-July through the end of august the meadows surrounding the mountain are literally carpeted with wildflowers of every color. I took this fine art Mount Rainier photography wall art at the very beginning of August, when wildflower blooms are at their peak. I love the formations of the flowers in this field, with the purple lupin mounds accented by the flaming red paintbrush. And the incredible warm tones of the setting sun wrapping the icy glaciers of Mt Rainier in a blanket of gold in this absolutely epic Pacific Northwest mountain photograph.
