Fine Art Forest Photography Comes Alive on Vibrant Metal Prints
The warm red color on the lower half of the cedar’s trunk in this old growth forest wall art is red because of all the people who come here and rub, pet, or hug this mighty tree, keeping its lower portion free of moss. And the vibrant fall color in the background emphasize these colors in this powerful forest photography wall art print.
This old growth cedar artwork gives us a glimpse of what much of the Pacific Northwest landscape once looked like and may again someday. While so much of Washington State’s forests have been cleared, the magic of trees is that, given the opportunity and enough time, they can grow again in grand proportions. The cedar in this forest art is likely near 1,000 years old. As a forest photography artist, I know I will not live to see the trees I plant get this large, but I sure am going to plant them anyway. For every forest photography print I sell I make a donation that plants 100 trees in Africa, I regularly donate to tree planting organizations in Washington State, and I have my own cedar tree nursery in my yard where I collect seedlings that come up in undesired places, and grow them out until they are ready to be planted where we need them most.
